Rory McNaughton, Contract Services (NI) has been awarded with another prestigious award in the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards 2008.
Established in 2005 by founder and Director, Rory Mc Naughton, Contract Services NI Ltd was awarded with the “One to Watch” as Ulster Bank have sought to celebrate the economic and social contribution of some of Ulster’s most entrepreneurial businesses.
Entrants were judged on a variety of merits including sales performance, market share growth, company milestones, innovative new products or services and successful achievements by key personnel.
Rory Mc Naughton of Contract Services said: “This is a another great achievement not only for myself but for the first class management, administration and engineering staff who have worked so hard building the business.”
Contract Services was selected from a shortlist of 18, drawn up from 75 entrants. They will now go head-to-head with category winners from across the island, with overall winners to be announced at an all-island gala event in March 2009.
Rory Continued: “From the outset we have had a very definite eye on customer services coupled with our ability to mould our business around the very specific needs of our vast array of customers has helped to leave our competition behind scratching their heads whilst we have become one of the best in the business.”
Contract services have two distinct areas of maintenance and installation activity. Within these two areas are full electrical services, full mechanical services, full sign services and fabric building services.
Ulster Bank are not the only people to have recognised Contract Services as Rory also recently won the Business Eye “Young Business Personality” of the Year at the UTV Business Eye Awards 2008, which took place at the Culloden Hotel, on 2ndOctober 2008.
On the Business front, Contract Services have contracts with HP Northern Ireland, Thompsons Feeds, Homebase Bangor and Makro in the UK. The company has also been chosen by IKEA as their preferred contractor to provide complete electrical retail fit-out for their prestigious new store in Southampton. They have doubled their turnover from £2.04 million in 2006 to £4.1million in 2007 and currently Contract Services employs 87 people with an expected 28 new jobs predicted next year.
