Contract Services Managing Director Wins UTV Business Eye Young Business Personality Of The Year Award.

Rory McNaughton, Contract Services (NI) has collected the highly contested "Young Business Personality of the Year" at the UTV Business Eye Awards 2008. The gala ceremony, which took place at the Culloden Hotel, on 2nd Oct 2008 which was attended by more than 400 guests and featured former X Factor star Rhydian Roberts as the guest star following the awards.

Rory said: "This is a great achievement not only for myself but for the first class management, administration and engineering staff who have worked so hard building the business. From the outset we have had a very definite eye on customer services coupled with our ability to mould our business around the very specific needs of our vast array of customers has helped to leave our competition behind scratching their heads whilst we have become one of the best in the business."

Hundreds of entries were considered across 16 different categories and the winners chosen by an independent panel of judges including UTV's Business Correspondent Jamie Delargy, Business Eye Editor Richard Buckley as well as leading local business journalists, Adrienne McGill, Newsletter and Gary McDonald of the Irish News.

The Judges chose Rory because, at only 29 years of age, he is presiding over one of the fastest growing enterprises in the electrical, mechanical & contract management sectors.

Rory had the vision to set up Contract Services to encompass all soft and hard services to include, Electrical, Mechanical, Construction and Cleaning, with the view to having all services under one company umbrella and all trades employed by and controlled by Contract Services NI. Brenda Buckley of Business Eye said "This was a brand new category set out to identify the achievements of Northern Ireland's young entrepreneurs and business leaders, Rory stood out among the entrants having shown clear achievements both personally and within Contract Services NI, he has a real dynamism for his field".

Contract Services, based on the outskirts of Dundonald operates all over Ireland and the UK, came into being in the latter part of 2005... just over two years ago. And, within that short period of time, it has grown to employ just over 100 people and to operate a fleet of 32 vehicles.
